The K fair was held in Dusseldorf, the most important event in the sector for the plastic and rubber industry with over 3 thousand exhibitors all over the world. Among these exhibitors is Nordmeccanica, Piacenza's excellence in the production of coupling machines for industrial packaging, with 65% market share in the sector, it becomes a world leader in the sector.

With this in mind, the collaboration with Siemens and 40Factory, the Piacenza-based start-up of Confapi Industria Piacenza as Nordmeccanica and partner of the German giant, expert in the development of industrial applications 4.0 for statistical analysis and predictive maintenance using intelligence algorithms was born. artificial. From this synergy a cloud application was born, hosted on Mindsphere, the Siemens industrial cloud, which allows Nordmeccanica customers to obtain the maximum potential from machine data in total safety. The application was presented for the first time by Nordmeccanica at the K. fair.

Filippo Ghelfi, responsible for the development of OEM solutions at 40Factory comments: «The solution conceived together with Nordmeccanica and Siemens allows to monitor and analyze, in a safe and efficient manner, every single meter produced by Nordmeccanica laminating machines, offering customers a new awareness, driven by the use of artificial intelligence in the industrial world.
