The Health Committee of the Campania Region approves the unified text on the game: a 150 meter distance meter only for new activities, posts to be respected for those already existing.

There Health and Social Security Commission of the Regional Council of Campania has definitively approved, after reviewing some amendments, the unified text containing provisions for the prevention and treatment of gambling disorder and for the health, social and economic protection of affected persons and their families.
Among the most important provisions, the text, in article 13 establishes distances from sensitive places, hours of suspension and other measures with respect to the implementation of the provisions of the law. The new opening of activities provided for in art. Is prohibited 3 at a distance from sensitive places of less than 150 meters (calculated from the walls of the buildings and from every point of the perimeter of the sensitive area in other cases).

THE SAFEGUARDING OF EXISTING ACTIVITIES – In order to protect, according to the provisions of the State Regions agreement, the investments already carried out and the work levels in the sector, it is envisaged that for the already existing activities and provisions regulating the distances are not applicable on condition that such businesses are equipped or yes provide, within 240 days of the entry into force of the law, a series of requirements and safeguards aimed at preventing and countering the phenomenon of the DGA (selective access to the gaming offer, with identification of the largest; video surveillance of the gaming area; communication to the lack of messages of induction to the consumption of the game; certification, of the participation of the holders of the activities to the training courses of which in Article 17. It is clarified that the transfer of the seat of the activities regulated by the law is subject to the discipline of the distances for new openings.

HOURS – About the times it is established that for the activities carried out in non-specialized points (ie bars and tobacconists) for which access to minors is not forbidden, the suspension of the gaming activity is 8 hours a day, of which 6 consecutive hours in the night time and school entrance from 3 to 9 and 2 hours in the daytime school exit band, from 12.30 to 14.30, so as to cover the time slot for entering and leaving schools. The provision of an ad hoc hourly regulation for each type of activity and due to the specialization or otherwise of the years is in full coherence with the aims of protecting the investments of the distribution network subject to public rules specularly allowing an adequate contrast to the illegal offer according to the guidelines of the interinstitutional agreement of September 2017. In order to concretely implement the objectives and purposes of the law, there is an obligation for municipalities to implement the requirements in their municipal regulations and, where not existing, to approve specific regulations no later than 90 days from the entry into force of the law. After this deadline, the provisions of the regional law are immediately effective and prevail over the municipal provisions that may conflict with it.
