<! –Liguria. Ends at 18 today, Sunday 3 November, the state of yellow alert issued by the regional civil protection for the province of Savona (small and medium basins of zones A, B and D).
As noted by Arpal, the night that has just passed was accompanied by lightning and thunder: a strong thunderstorm line has affected, in its currently most intense phase, the extreme regional west.
From about 3 to 5 in the morning the progressive development of an organized storm system has been observed that has spread from the imperiese to the center of the region. Inside there is a thundercloud that laps the western coast and, extending across the Ligurian Gulf, has reached the metropolitan area of Genoa.
On A, very strong intensity was recorded over 5 minutes (12.4 mm in 5 minutes in Ceriana and Borgonuovo) with a maximum hourly of 46.6 in Seborga; on B a maximum intensity of 11 millimeters was recorded in 5 minutes and 40.8 millimeters in one hour in Premanico, 29.6 in Crocetta d’Orero. On the same area there was an intense electrical activity.
The north winds were weak on the center-west while southern winds (south-south-east) on the east were recorded with average maximum intensities above 70 kilometers per hour (Fontana Fresca, Casoni di Suvero) and gusts over 100 kilometers per hour on the same stations.
The intense southern flow, which is bringing widespread rainfall even to a stormy nature on almost the entire regional territory, continued this morning.
Until about 7 there were very intense showers over the 5 minutes (13.8 mm in Premanico, 13.6 mm in Loco Carchelli, 12.4 in Borgonuovo and 10.2 in Giacopiane), strong on the hour (48.4 Brugneto Diga, 44.6 Seborga, 44 Torriglia, 41.4 Monte Maure). Worth noting is the reinforcement of the gusts of wind in the Levante hinterland, at 166 kilometers per hour in Giacopiane and 132 kilometers per hour in Casoni di Suvero.
