The nun acts as official translator for the Pope and he accompanies him in all his movements during this apostolic journey. A new choice in the style of Bergoglio who preferred having his cousin at his side rather than an official interpreter.

Sister Anna has lived in the country since 1966 when she moved there from Argentina. His grandfather was a cousin of the Pope's grandfather, but the two of them have always considered themselves as brothers and sisters.

"With my cousin we talk to each other, don't use social networks, he sent me books for Christmas and wrote to me through the Apostolic Nunciature ", tells the nun that today is vice-principal and teacher in a Catholic school almost 600 km from Bangkok. "Everyone in the country is curious to know the Pope", he assures, "and for me it is an honor to see him again".
