The writer Strega Award 2019 Antonio Scurati, the lyricist Mogol (century, Giulio Rapetti), the soccer player Laura Giuliani, singer Vinicio Capossela, the actress Lella Costa. These are some of the 15 personalities that on December 7th will receive the Gold Medal of the Municipality of Milan, the so-called Ambrogino d'Oro. Monday afternoon, the meeting between the group leaders and the City Council Presidency drew up the list of winners, which also includes the architect and designer Cini Boeri, the Paralympic swimmer Simone Barlaam, the musician Ricky Gianco, the artist Emilio Isgr, the orthopedic surgeon Francesco Malerba, the owner of Kartell and president of the Salone del Mobile Claudio Luti, the businessman Mario Ferrari, the founder of GialloZafferano, Sonia Peronaci, the CEO of BE Consulting Stefano Acherman and the wife of Umberto Veronesi, Sultana Razon Veronesi, writer and survivor of Bergen-Belsen. Several illustrious names that the city councilors have rejected, in particular those of the NBA champion, Danilo Gallinari, of Mahmood, runner-up in Sanremo 2019 and Milanese of the Gratosoglio district, of Manfredi Catella, CEO of Coima, and of the writer Andrea Pinketts.

There are six civic merits to memory, the Ambrogini d’Oro, which the Municipality of Milan has decided to give to personalities that have played an important role in the life of the city. The Gold Medals, which will be delivered on December 7th, on the occasion of the patronal feast of Sant’Ambrogio, will be conferred to Filippo Penati, former leader of the Democratic Party, a Francesco Saverio Borrelli, the magistrate who was at the head of the Milan prosecutor's office during the years of Mani Pulite, a Eugenio Fumagalli, the taxi driver invested in the Milan-Meda while assisting the injured in a traffic accident, a don Luigi Melesi, chaplain of the prison of San Vittore, to the patron of Mapei and former president of Confindustria, Giorgio Squinzi, who had already received it in life, and a Carla Casiraghi, last guardian of the alley of the Lavandai. The proposal of Borrelli and Penati saw the contrary vote of Forza Italia and Lega, something not obvious if you think that the candidacy of the former leader of the Democratic Party was signed, as well as by the group leader Dem, Filippo Barberis, also by the director of Forza Italy, Alessandro De Chirico.
