Accident on the highway in Campania, mother and daughter of Drapia die

Tragedy late yesterday evening on the A30 motorway between Caserta and Salerno, where they lost their lives due to a 50 year old Teresa Furchì traffic accident and her daughter Caterina Costa of 25, who lived in Brattirò, a hamlet of Drapia. However, the 54-year-old husband Antonio Costa remains in serious condition and in a prognosis.

The casualty, whose causes are still being examined by investigators, would have occurred between 7.30 pm and 8 pm just a few moments after the last telephone contact between the family and some relatives.

The Costa were on their way back from Rome, following a medical visit for Caterina, a great warrior who had long fought against a tumor. A journey full of hope on the way, for the hypothesis of a new treatment finally effective but then denied by the doctors, and turned into a huge tragedy that left terribly upset not only the community of Brattirò and Drapia, but also Tropea and other neighboring countries where the family was very well known and respected.
