Good evening to all, and welcome to LIVE LIVE for the last match of the first day of the Next Gen ATP Finals 2019.

The final stage of the Finals belongs to the Alto Adige region Jannik Sinner and the American Frances Tiafoe, inserted in group B together with the French Ugo Humbert and the Swedish Mikael Ymer, who play before them. It will be the second challenge in just a few weeks between the two, after the quarter-finals of the Antwerp ATP 250 won by the blue in three sets. This, however, also in consideration of the particular regulation with which one plays, will not award any points for the ATP ranking.

In fact, it will be played with a wide range of rules that are halfway between the experimental and the already imported in the ATP circuit. By now stable even in the classic tournaments there is the 25 seconds clock to serve, while for the moment the distance of the three sets out of five with resolution to the four games instead of the six remains limited, with tie-break on the 3 -3 and decisive point on the 40 peers (a situation, this, fundamentally borrowed from what happens already for over 10 years in duplicate).

This is the third edition of the Next Gen ATP Finals, with the first two that they saw in the field as Italians Gianluigi Quinzi and then Liam Caruana, which, however, unlike Sinner, had had to play the pre-qualification tournament before, while the Alto Adige took advantage of a wild card. The two winners already registered in the gold register are the South Korean Hyeon Chung and the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, which would have been eligible this year too, but has moved to the next level, that of the actual London ATP Finals.
