Tragedy on the highway, a car squashed between two trucks, a Morvillo Falcone teacher dies

BRINDISI – Tragedy this morning on the main road leading from Lecce to Brindisi. A car is crushed between two trucks, a woman dies. It is a teacher, Anna Maria Dell’Anna, 58 years old of Santa Cesarea who was going to work, the woman was teaching at the Morvillo Falcone professional institute in Brindisi. It happened around 7:30 am on the 613 state road, at the junction for Surbo. The woman was aboard her C3 when it was crushed between the two heavy vehicles. According to a first reconstruction it seems that the impact occurred during overtaking: the car was overtaking the truck when another from behind it hit the road. There was nothing for the teacher to do. The fire brigade pulled the victim out of the sheet metal. The road was closed to traffic for some time. On the spot the Stradale di Lecce. The school has announced that due to the serious loss of life the institute has been postponed until today.
