Threatens an employee of the Post Office with acid: arrested 66 years old in Palermo

He entered the post office with a bottle of muriatic acid and threatened to scar but it was immediately the intervention of employees who alerted the staff of the Volanti of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office that immediately intervened blocking the man.

He is a 66-year-old from Palermo, a pensioner from the "Capo" neighborhood, who on more than one occasion had caused havoc in the post office. He was arrested for persecutory acts.

The man, as reconstructed by the policemen of the Commissariat of P.S. "Centro" that carried out the investigations, some days ago, had started some practices for the rescheduling of a loan and was followed by a postal branch employee. After a few days, due to some problems that had arisen with regard to his practice, the 66-year-old, believing he was penalized, despite the clarifications and information provided by the Institute, had visited the Post Office several times and, in the presence of clients and clerks, he had railed against the person in charge of the financing, guilty, in his opinion, of having "cheated" him. The 66 year old, one day, he had also threatened to burn the post office.

The woman, on one occasion, had been reached by the threats of man also at home, outside working hours, through a social network and threatened to be scarred with acid and the man wanted to complete his intentions.

On 22 October he presented himself at the post office with a bottle of muriatic acid and asked to speak with the employee but the employees and the head of the facility alerted the police.

The man was arrested and, after the customary formalities, conducted at the “Lorusso” Prison District of Pagliarelli.
