It was an afternoon dedicated to the recovery of animals what the firefighters experienced on October 31st.

The first at 2.30 pm in the municipality of Varese in Via Cernuschi. A lady found a parrot on the balcony of her home and asked for help. The firefighters intervened with a fire engine caught the animal and as a result of some research it emerged that he had escaped from the zoo to which he was promptly returned.

Not even the time to finish this intervention, another call came to the switchboard. This time, on the other side of the receiver, there were the owners of a house on Via Pravallo in Lozza, who had just found a python in the garden. The snake had already been captured by them but they didn't know what to do with it. The fire brigade then intervened with a fire engine, recovered the reptile and took it to custody in the city zoo, waiting to be traced back to the owner.

It is not the first time that they have to deal with snakes in Lozza. Already in August a royal python of more than one meter had found accommodation in the deck of a house.
