Belgium are the first qualified team for Euro 2020 (12th June-12th July 2020) thanks to their strong victory against San Marino (9-0) on Thursday during the seventh day of the playoffs.
Authors of a perfect course so far, with 28 goals scored for only 1 conceded, the Belgians have scattered the San Marino in fifteen minutes, scoring their six goals between the half hour of play and half-time, then three at the end of the match.
In the same group, Russia is almost qualified after their 4-0 win against Scotland, and is eight points ahead of Cyprus, third and winner in Kazakhstan (2-1) earlier in the day, three games of the end.
The Netherlands are also in a good position but have suffered a lot against Northern Ireland. At home but particularly apathetic and uninspired for the first 75 minutes, they were led after the opener of Magennis on the only action in Northern Ireland (75th).
But Depay, five minutes later, and then De Jong in the playoffs have handed the Dutch to the spot, before a final achievement of Depay.
Three teams are now tied in Group C with 12 points, but the Netherlands and Germany have one game less than the Northern Irish, which they have yet to face.
The other two teams of the group, Belarus and Estonia, both already won, drew (0-0), the first point Estonians.
In group E, Croatia also made a good step towards the Euro by beating Hungary 3-0. With 13 points, she has three more than Slovenia, hooked home by Wales. Behind, the Hungarians are 9 points and the Welsh 7, but with one match less.
Poland started again in Group G, with a win against Latvia, the group's last and still looking for their first points. The inevitable Robert Lewandowski scored all three goals for his country, and reached the 60-goal mark for his selection.
Austria, which defeated Israel 3-1, took second place with Slovenia's fourth defeat against Macedonia (2-1), who finished third.
