The court was referred by the Regional Directorate for Enterprise, Competition, Consumer Affairs, Labor and Employment and several unions.

The TGI of Angers made this Thursday, October 17 a decision much awaited in the question of the Sunday work in the stores. The Geant Casino La Roseraie, a 5,000 square meter hypermarket in Angers, will no longer be allowed to open on Sunday afternoons, as it has done since August 25, according to information collected by franceinfo.

The customers' passage was via automatic pay stations but a service provider company carried out a mission of monitoring and guiding the customers. The labor inspectorate noted that employees of this company actually had "for real and essential activity the management of the passage of the customers to the automatic cash registers of the store and the management of the products and baskets in the cash zones".

The opening of this store on Sunday had sparked a heated debate. The court was referred by the Direccte (Regional Directorate for Enterprise, Competition, Consumer Affairs, Labor and Employment) and several unions (the CGT, FO and the CFTC) which therefore disputed the use automatic cash registers to circumvent the Sunday work legislation.

If the agents of the provider company continue after 13h, the company will be sentenced to 5000 euros in break-in fine found according to the decision of the High Court of Angers.
