The Italian Society of Infectious Therapy (Sita) recalls the importance of vaccination and launches the appeal again. "This case – he adds – suggests that this year's flu, even if it doesn't have extraordinary numbers like those of winter 2017-18, can affect healthy people and reinforces the message that vaccination must be universal because it does not there is a category of subjects spared from potential complications ".
In Parma, last September 25, the first seasonal flu virus was isolated from a throat swab of a 6-year-old girl admitted to the general and emergency pediatric ward.
However, the outbreak itself will occur with the arrival of lower temperatures.
