After the hot weather, with peaks of 30 degrees in full October, autumn comes to Sardinia.

Rains and thunderstorms arriving, starting from Wednesday 23 October. The Regional Civil Protection has issued, starting at 3pm tomorrow and until midnight, a yellow alert bullet – ordinary – for hydrogeological risk due to thunderstorms.

The Flumendosa-Flumineddu area, the Iglesiente and the Campidano are affected.

"A deep low-pressure air is approaching which is currently positioned on the western Mediterranean and which will reach the island in the next few hours", explain the experts of the Decimomannu Air Force Weather office.

The consequence, "rain and thunderstorms". First on the central western areas of Sardinia, then on the northern area.

The thunderstorms can also be of strong intensity. "More rainfall, especially in the eastern sectors, Thursday 24", the meteorologists explain, pointing out that the bad weather will not give respite to the island "until Sunday".

The temperatures, however, despite the rain, will only drop by a couple of degrees, with maximums still around around 20 in almost all of Sardinia.
