TELECOM ITALIA APPOINTS APPOINTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF BANK OF ITALY
MILAN (Reuters) – Telecom Italia's nominating committee has approved the entry of Salvatore Rossi, a former director of the Bank of Italy, to the operator's board of directors, a source close to the case said Friday.
This green light paves the way for the appointment of Salvatore Rossi as President of Telecom Italia. TIM's board of directors will meet on Monday to appoint the successor to Fulvio Conti, who resigned from the presidency last month.
Aged 70, Salvatore Rossi was until May last director general of the Bank of Italy and chairman of the supervisory authority of the insurance sector in Italy.
