A teenager suspected of stabbing the son of a former Montreal Canadiens player during a mundane cell phone sale in late August was arrested Wednesday morning in the Côte-Saint-Paul district of Montreal.
The youth was pinned on Angers Street. Police believe he is the one who allegedly stabbed Nicolas Poulin, a former Sherbrooke Phoenix player in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, on the evening of August 22.

That evening, the son of the former color holder of the Tricolore Patrick Poulin went to the intersection of Jarry Street and Avenue De Chateaubriand to meet someone wanting to buy his cell phone.
At the time of paying, the buyer would have unsheathed a weapon and stabbed Nicolas Poulin in the neck.
The 22-year-old ran after his attacker who was trying to escape, but had to stop after finding out he was bleeding profusely.
On Facebook, the mother of Nicolas had written that his son had come very close to leave his skin. "We went to a millimeter of carotid," she wrote.
Nicolas Poulin had 13 stitches to close the wound.
An investigation of about six weeks eventually allowed the Montreal police to snatch the alleged perpetrator of this violent attack.
The teenager was scheduled to appear Thursday in youth court.
