Show in the Chamber in Strasbourg of the Euro MEP Angelo Ciocca, during the debate on the military operations of Turkey in the north-eastern Syrian. The MP – former Councilor for Public Works in the small town of San Genesio ed Uniti, in the Pavia area, re-elected MEP in the Northwest constituency with almost 90 thousand preferences (the most voted by the League after Matteo Salvini) – was picked up by the first vice-president of the European Parliament, the Irish Mairead Mc Guinness. Ciocca took the floor during the plenary debate brandishing a large chocolate bar, wrapped in red and gold paper. "Crazy – said the MEP – at the last plenary the Turkish authorities dispensed Turkish chocolate to ask to resume negotiations for the entry of Turkey into Europe". "Now they do not dispense chocolate – continued Ciocca – but missiles and bombs. Europe finances the Turkish war". Vice President Mairead McGuinness, who held the presidency, reacted calmly, but very hard. "Please come back to your place. This is a Parliament where there is debate and no objects are thrown around. We are non-violent, this is an unacceptable attitude – said McGuinnes, to the applause of the other deputies – I am shocked by what he did". When Ciocca tried to react, McGuinnes didn't give him the floor. "I ask you to listen, because by listening you learn"
