Anti-Semitism: "Liliana Segre, Jewish, I hate you". The life senator receives 200 online insults per day

The president of the Senate, Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, says that "hateful messages to Senator Liliana Segre's address are an insult to the history and institutions of a country that has erected its democratic architecture and regained peace, the rejection of anti-Semitism and the repudiation of violence freedom and progress ".

Nicola Zingaretti speaks of solidarity of all democrats and says "disgusted. I find no more suitable term to comment on the continuous insults that Senator Liliana Segre receives every day on the net. They are anti-Semitic insults or
that they can no longer go unnoticed ".

Nicola Morra, senator M5S and president of the parliamentary anti-mafia commission, is one of the first to intervene. And it speaks of a growing phenomenon: "Here the level of cretinism / racism / anti-Semitism grows without pause. The best answer is to make people understand that we are all with Liliana Segre". And the Undersecretary for Publishing, Andrea Martella, adds: "We need strict rules to protect people and our democracy". While the Minister of Equal Opportunities, Elena Bonetti, says that these attacks "contrast with the spirit of our Constitution".

For Forza Italia the parent company intervenes in the Senate, Anna Maria Bernini. And he speaks of "a human degradation that must be fought and condemned with all the weapons of reason".

Davide Faraone, Senator of Italia Viva, recalls that the Senate will vote on Tuesday to set up the extraordinary commission to combat intolerance, racism, anti-Semitism and incitement to hatred. And he proposes: "It would be a nice response to haters if it was she, Liliana Segre, with that matriculation number 75190, who was tattooed on the forearm by the Nazis in Auschwitz". On the commission's work, the senator for life says: "I'm fighting against hate languages that are very common on social media".

But the Net is not just a source of hatred. Many certificates of solidarity from simple citizens. There are those who write only: "We love you".
