Six policemen were placed in custody on Tuesday, October 8. A 20-year-old man accuses them of "torture" during his arrest in Saint-Ouen last August.

Six policemen from the security and intervention company (CSI) of Seine-Saint-Denis are in custody on Tuesday, October 8, in the investigation into suspicions of police violence in Saint-Ouen, learned franceinfo from a source close of the investigation.

The alleged facts took place on August 9th. A 20-year-old man accused police of "torture" during his arrest. In his complaint, he states that he "kicked by police officers" and "several shots of electric pulse pistol"on his genitals.

Joined by franceinfo, the lawyer of the young man, Me Yassine Bouzrou, said "to wait for the mis en cause to be brought before an examining magistrate with a view to indicting them for torture and acts of barbarism", "given the gravity of the alleged acts".

The survey is conducted by the IGPN (General Inspectorate of the National Police). The security and intervention company of Seine-Saint-Denis is targeted by two other investigations also on suspicions of violence.
