NHL: John Tortorella has been operated on for skin cancer

            <p style="margin:0in 0in 10pt">Columbus Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella was operated on Tuesday to heal what would be a skin cancer sample on his forehead.

Aaron Potzline's The Athletic reported Wednesday, as the Jackets prepare to face the Dallas Stars.

The 61-year-old Tortorella is in his fifth campaign with the Blue Jackets. They started the campaign with a 2-3 record.

The team has participated in the playoffs in the last three seasons, reaching the second round in their previous presence.

The head coach won the Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
