"These months have been a real nightmare, today with the word absolution I start to breathe again": These are the artist's first words, after hearing about the judge's decision. Monday 4 November 2019 will be a guest in the Barbara D’Urso parlor for an exclusive interview. The presenter, on the other hand, he had taken his story to heart from the first moment. Precisely in his studio, several months ago, Marco Carta told with tears in his eyes of the heavy accusation for which he had been stopped, that of having stolen six T-shirts worth € 1,200. With him, at the material time, there was also dear friend Fabiana Muscas, for whom the judge's decision is still awaited.
This morning the trial was closed with closed doors reading of the sentence by Judge Stefano Caramellino, of the Milan Sixth Penalty. The prosecutor Nicola Rossato had asked for a sentence of 8 months of imprisonment and a € 400 fine for Marco Carta, but the judge rejected his request and acquitted the singer "for not having committed the act". Carta was not present in the courtroom, but was promptly notified by telephone by his lawyer. Ansa reports that the artist is burst into tears thanking his lawyer in learning the news.
His story had kept everyone in suspense. In these months, Marco Carta had tried to go on with his life in expectation of this moment, thanks also to the support of the people most dear to him – always proclaiming his innocence. During the summer he tried to enjoy a few days off in Greece with his companion Sirio, who he has been attending for four years.
