On August 31st, the American's car hit Hubert's head on the Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. Correa had been immediately operated on in Belgium for leg fractures and a minor injury to the spine. A week after the accident, he was transferred to England and placed in an artificial coma and under respiratory assistance.
Coming out of coma on September 21st, the pilot was successfully operated on his right leg injuries, his entourage announced on October 3rd. "The road to recovery will be long again"concluded Correa in his video.
