Implenia will build five additional buildings in the new "Quartier de l'Etang" in Vernier, near Geneva, for CHF 270 million. Work will begin in November.
Implenia was entrusted by the developer PG Promotors, represented by Urban Project, with the construction of this additional part of the new district, according to a press release issued Monday night.
"Since September 2018, Implenia has completed a total of 270 rental units on Block E on a total enterprise basis. There will now be five commercial buildings on Block A. In total, the project will consist of six islets.
The "Quartier de l'Étang" is currently emerging from a former industrial site occupying more than eleven hectares in the town of Vernier. It will have more than 1,000 housing units.
The five buildings, which have just been awarded to Implenia, will complete the residential buildings with 670 hotel rooms and apartments, 230 student housing units, a serviced residence with 90 apartments and around 15'000 square meters of office space. .
A school, nursery and communal sports facilities will also be part of the whole.
