TheThe board of directors was the scene Thursday night of a first cries "ette" between Walloon partners. Ecolo refused to validate the appointment of the three new Nethys directors, before changing their minds. The Walloon deputy, Olivier Biérin (Ecolo), said at the microphone of Bel RTL that these claims, which were accepted, were not intended "to wash whiter than white and thus distinguish Ecolo from the PS and MR" .
► After having blocked the nomination of the new trio to the board of Nethys, Ecolo accepts
The deputy Olivier Biérin insists: through these demands, the ecologist party wanted above all things to "really change and therefore, have guarantees on the mandate given to future directors. "Legal issues are important in this case," he argues.
These claims are therefore not related to the fact that Ecolo had not been kept informed of the names of the trio of "wise men", says Mr. Biérin.
Around 500,000 euros in compensation
The young ecologist admitted, however, to have felt "some reticence", "old reflexes on the part of the majority in place in the province of Liege (PS and MR). "Some have pretended to forget that there are different levels of power in Belgium," he adds, stressing that the three parties have finally reached a joint decision in serenity.
In addition, the ecologist party wants to come back on the compensation that will reach the five members of the executive committee of Nethys, which would amount to two years of emoluments and the amount could increase to 500,000 euros. "It's a decision that needs to be challenged and examined," said Mr. Biérin.
This Friday, Jean-Pierre Hansen, Bernrad Thiry and Laurent Levaux will be well promoted directors of Nethys. This trio will be mandated by Enodia / Finanpart to analyze the relevance of the indemnities promised to the management.
And Muriel Targnion?
The president of Enodia, parent company of Nethys, Muriel Targnion (PS), announced Thursday her future resignation. It will remain however administrative.
"It is a responsibility of the PS and the MR that decided to keep it in place, for us it should have left," regrets Olivier Bierin. "She defended the interests of Stéphane Moreau rather than public shareholders," he says.
