SCALEA (COSENZA) – An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 was recorded at 6:31 am in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off Scalea. The epicenter was located at a depth of 11 kilometers. Seven minutes later, the seismographs recorded another shock at the same point, but milder, of magnitude 2.5.According to preliminary findings, there was no damage either in Scalea or in the surrounding centers, but the quake was clearly felt by the population that poured into the street. However, the railway traffic on the Sapri-Paola line where the RFI technicians are at work, according to what the company of the Fs group communicates has been suspended for checks.
