Dennis Praet sees his transfer to England as "a good step forward"

After three seasons at Sampdoria in Genoa, Dennis Praet has indeed joined Leicester City in the Premier League where he found his teammate Anderlecht Yuri Tielemans.

"The adaptation was fast, although there is a big difference between Italy and England where there is more intensity to training and match. In Italy, it's more tactical and still a little more boring. I find myself better in this new way of playing and I can only be happy of my passage in the Premier League, one of the best competitions in the world", explained Dennis Praet, the last three games.

"This transfer is a personal choice and a good step forward. Leicester play football and I love his game. The club is ambitious and wants to play Europe. It's a new challenge for me too because it's never easy to win in a team. But I love this", added Dennis Praet happy also to find Yuri Tielemans."It's always great to see a familiar face when you arrive in a new team. We were also together on the field lately, which helped me a lot. There are three of us in the middle of the game. Ndidi is a real number six. Yuri and I rather in eight. We must give volume to the game and defend strongly"explained the former Golden Shoe, who was playing at number ten in Anderlecht.

"It's true that I was in a more offensive position in support of the attackers. In Italy, I went back a little bit in the game and I became another player. In six or eight, I can do my defensive job and touch the ball a lot. In the national team, I find myself more in these positions and the national coach sees me well as a number eight."
