Cuneo, corpse of the holy woman at home for 17 years: her husband and son acquitted

The body of Graziella Giraudo was found by the carabinieri in 2013, after no one had seen the woman at the funeral of her roommate. Of the 'holy woman', whom faithful from all over Italy used to address, there was no news since the end of the 1990s and many believed that she had left for a trip.

The military has found its body, preserved and with hand in blessing, in a locked room. The investigators had found a diary, kept by the 'faithful', in which the woman's resurrection was supposed.

In first degree, in 2015, Aldo and Alfio Pepino had been sentenced to one year of imprisonment and Elda Allinio to 4 months. The other accused family members, Valierio Allinio and Dianora Pepino, respectively the son-in-law and daughter-in-law of the woman, residing in the apartment near the house where the body had been found, had bargained for a year's sentence.
