Unless surprise, the Liégeoise will appear before the blue voter, Denis Ducarme face, Georges-Louis Bouchez and Philippe Goffin.
According to our information, and except big surprise last minute, Christine Defraigne should send her candidacy for the presidency of the MR for Friday 16 hours, deadline for the filing of letters of application. By doing so, it would bring (at least) four the number of contenders, after the official announcements of Hennuyers Denis Ducarme and Georges-Louis Bouchez, and Philippe Goffin of Liégeois.
With the latter, it would also make a second social liberal appearing before the blue voter. And that would probably reduce the chances of one of the four to win in the first round, since it takes 50% of votes plus 1 to win the presidency. However, of course, that the candidacy of Defraigne be validated on October 14 by the party, since it does not fulfill all the conditions provided by the obsolete statutes. Which should however be the case.
