Charleroi: an individual sows panic during a chase

Around 1:45 am, a police team from Charleroi chased a Mercedes Vito vehicle that refused to submit to a check. The fugitives traveled a few kilometers in the big Charleroi before being intercepted.

At the start of the journey, the vehicle took the police to Landelies where they would try to put the police in the water. Then, it is always at full speed that the Mercedes and part towards Marchienne-au-Pont. There, she turned a quarter of an hour in the city Matadi depositing the passenger. The driver did not get there since he was off to Mont-sur-Marchienne before returning to Marchienne.

In no way curb his ardor with police cars pursuing him, the individual continued on his way to Marcinelle, Charleroi and Montignies-sur-Sambre.

The convoy formed by the fugitive and the police even went as far as Montigny-le-Tilleul in the car park of the Vesale hospital. In a final attempt to escape, the driver will stop in his race stopped by the concrete blocks delimiting the parking.

This chase will have put several police zones on alert with reinforcements from all sides: Trieux, Binche, Germinalt, Chatelet and Charleroi. If the police did everything they could to secure their arrest, we are talking about two shots fired by the police. Ultimately, the police preferred to rely on an error of the fleeing driver to stop it permanently.
