Canadians: Marc Bergevin tries to convince Alexander Romanov to join the team

            <p>Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin is actively trying to convince Alexander Romanov to join the team next season, reports team member Pierre LeBrun.

Bergevin visited him in Russia last year and received his family in Montreal this summer.

The 19-year-old defenseman is currently in the final year of his contract with CSKA Moscow in the Continental Hockey League.

Ramanov was a 2nd round pick – 38th overall – Canadians in 2018.
