All Bombardier-built Airbus A220s belonging to the Swiss airline were grounded on Tuesday.
The Swiss company has decided to urgently revise its fleet of 29 aircraft following another engine problem of an aircraft linking London to Geneva on Tuesday, reported the Swiss Radio Television (RTS). The craft was forced to land in Paris.
Swiss mentioned that these planes will not fly until they are inspected. Therefore, the airline must cancel many flights, according to the RTS. No schedule was presented for resumption of flights for these aircraft.
The Airbus A220s were launched by Bombardier under the name C Series. They changed their name when Airbus became the majority owner of this division of the Quebec company.
These planes have had many engine problems recently. This incident affecting Swiss gear Tuesday is the eighth in just over a year, said the RTS.
