Actress Jane Fonda was arrested Friday as she was participating in a peaceful protest against climate change at the United States Capitol in Washington.
A total of 16 protesters were arrested for illegal protest and were charged congestion, blocking or disturbance

The 81-year-old woman, well known for her activism, was handcuffed before being escorted inside a patrol car. A video of his arrest circulated on social networks. The actress was released a few hours later.
