Abominable images that expose the animal cruelty of a German pharmaceutical laboratory

Terrible images of animal cruelty were captured in a hidden camera by the German animal welfare association Soko Tierschutz, in collaboration with Cruelty Free International.

according to Die WeltThe scenes were filmed by an activist who had infiltrated the Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Laboratory (LPT) in Hamburg, Germany. These show many animals abused for experimental purposes.

Employees can be seen injecting, forcing, or inhaling toxic substances into them for the purpose of measuring the effects on behalf of pharmaceutical, industrial and agrochemical companies, which must comply with European and global standards.

However, Cruelty Free International explains that such practices have disastrous consequences for organisms: gastric rejection, internal bleeding, difficulty breathing, fever, weight loss, lethargy, skin problems, organic failure or even death of the animal.

Terrible conditions

The video, hardly sustainable, shows beasts piled on top of each other. Some are left in agony on blood-stained ground. Monkeys are immobilized with collars or straps. The plaintive moans and inappropriate behaviors of the animals on the pictures chill the blood and let us imagine the appalling living conditions in which they are held.
