A 51-year-old worker was injured Friday morning when he dropped a dozen feet on a construction site at the corner of Durocher and Atlantic Streets, in the borough of Outremont, in Montreal.
According to the spokesman of the Montreal Fire Department (SIM), Patrick Fournel, the first responders arrived at the scene around 10:39 am after the man had fallen on a cement surface three meters above the ground.
The rescue unit at the height of the SIM had to be rushed on site. In particular, a basket was needed to remove the victim from his unfortunate position.
Urgences-sante took over after the man was lowered to the ground.
According to Urgences-sante, the victim suffered head injuries. She was in a stable condition when she was transported to the hospital.
