Vietnamese guests and residents in Mexico met at a reception
held by the Hanoi Embassy in this Aztec country, on the occasion of the
74th anniversary of the National Day of the Indo-Chinese nation (September 2).
In his speech, the Hanoi ambassador, Nguyen Hoai Duong, reviewed several
outstanding achievements of the renovation process, thanks to which Vietnam has
become a politically stable nation, with a dynamic economy and
Deep international integration. The Southeast Asian nation has also contributed actively and responsibly
to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, he added.
On relations between Vietnam and Mexico, Hoai Duong emphasized development
fruitful of its links in areas of politics, commerce, culture and society.
In the last decade, bilateral trade
reached an annual growth of 10 to 15 percent, and approached the five
one billion dollars in 2018.
He expressed his conviction that these links will prosper with the entry into force
of the Comprehensive and Progressive Treaty of Transpacific Association (CPTPP).
For its part, the director general for Asia-Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Mexican, Claudia Franco Hijuelos, affirmed that her Government considers important
developing its ties with Hanoi, an important partner in the region
Pacific Asia.
He hoped that in his position as president of the Association of Nations of the
Southeast Asia (ASEAN), and non-permanent member of the Security Council
of the United Nations in the 2020-2021 term, the Asian country will
active contributions to peace and security in the region and the world.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Embassy in Canada held a ceremony, with the
participation of the community of Vietnamese residents in this North American country
and the diplomatic corps in the capital of Ottawa.
