A dramatic accident occurred in the morning of this Sunday, September 1, in Arudy, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, reports The Republic of the Pyrenees. At around 8am, a vehicle with four people returning from vacation on board suddenly left the road, and realized an accidental fall in a ravine of a hundred meters.
Two women aged 40 and 54 years were unable to get out of the vehicle and were declared dead by relief. A 56-year-old man managed to get out of the vehicle before the tragedy whilea 4-year-old child was found injured on the scene, and transported urgently to the hospital of Pau, by helicopter.
Twenty firefighters, the Samu but also members of the high mountain gendarmerie were dispatched on the spot. The reasons for this tragic accident remain to be determined.
