In that population of the Rio Primero department, located 25 kilometers from the Capital, in the middle of the Pampa Gringa, Macri easily won the Paso elections.
Climbed into a municipal van, Macri took the microphone and said: "I have already come to Córdoba 21 times and I needed to visit the most important place: Monte Cristo."
Ovacionado and shouting "yes you can" hundreds of neighbors and curious applauded him.
Macri usually makes these kinds of surprise encounters. This is the 21st time he has come to Córdoba and it is the first time that a president has arrived in that city.
The president was accompanied by national deputy Mario Negri and mayors Fernando Gazzoni and Verónica Gazzoni (elected municipal head).
Macri made a mea culpa for the economic situation: "I apologize because I said that inflation was going to be resolved quickly, but with truth and honesty we are going to solve it."
"In the economic thing we need, but for 70 years that the economy does not work. In a few more years inflation will be a subject of the past. Together we will do it," he added.
"We also know that in the past there are no solutions, the solutions are in the future," he said, in a critique for his rivals.
"It's up to us, we have to change the story," he said later. Finally he told the neighbors: "I take this moment in my heart."
What did he do when he arrived
The first thing the president did was visit the bakery Artisans of flavor located in the center of Monte Cristo. "He came and tried Chipá," said one of the employees.
"The camp is with you, Mr. President. Cordoba supports you," another neighbor shouted. There was euphoria and the traditional cry of "yes, you can".
"Things are not easy but we have to support our president. We know it is difficult, but he (Macri) is working for the country. Honest people who are doing what is necessary for the country. We need to support him," said Fernando Gazzoni, Mayor of Monte Cristo, shortly before the first president arrived.
Fernando Gazzoni leaves the municipality on December 10 and will be replaced by Verónica Gazzoni (UCR). Monte Cristo is located 25 kilometers east of the Capital. In that population, mainly with agricultural and industrial activity, Macri easily won the elections.
