The Chevrolet Trailblazer 2020 arrives in China

The Chevrolet Trailblazer truck was presented in April during the Shanghai Motor Show, but it is already available to be ordered in the Asian giant not only in the Redline termination, but also in the new RS variant. This truck is not a new generation of the model sold in South America and Thailand, but a SUV model created by SAIC-GM that will only be produced exclusively for the Chinese market and for the United States. Although it has not been confirmed, it could reach other markets but with a different name than the Trailblazer we already know. It will be available in five trim levels as well as in the new RS, a sports finish.

Esthetic

Outside we notice at first sight a front of aggressive lines with a double point grill, LED headlights on two levels that in the case of the RS finish is inspired by the Camaro, also adopts a floating roof and something very important: it will have 26 storage spaces inside the cabin and a load capacity of up to 1,375 liters when folding the rear seats.

At the cabin level, the Trailblazer adopts the new MyLink + infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife and Bluetooth connectivity. This multimedia system will offer GPS navigation, music, entertainment, traffic information and weather in real time, in turn it will have SD card slots and USB port. For its part, in terms of safety, it will have automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane maintenance assistant, cross-traffic alert, among others.

Mechanical range

The Trailblazer equips under its hood the 1.3 turbocharged Ecotec engine that generates 162 hp and 240 Nm of torque. This engine is associated with a CVT transmission or a nine-speed Hydra-Matic. The entry versions will come with a CVT and front-wheel drive, this reports an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 9.1 seconds. For the upper variants, the Hydra-Matic with 4WD will be available whose system is activated in just 0.2 seconds from a button in the cabin. With this configuration the truck arrives from 0 to 100 km / h in just 9.3 seconds. Its price in China starts from 139,900 yuan for the entry version.
