The triumph of the Spanish basketball team is exhibited on Monday afternoon and evening in the streets of Madrid. The world champion, who won her second title in Beijing this Sunday, has landed this Monday at 17.43 at the Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, more than 12 hours after taking off from China and late on the schedule initially planned. Spanish players attend two official receptions before going on to a great celebration in the center of the capital of Spain.

The first appointment was at the Palacio de la Zarzuela, where they went after being picked up by a bus at the foot of the track in Barajas, to receive the congratulations of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. Next, the champions have an appointment at the palace of La Moncloa to be greeted by the president of the acting Government, Pedro Sánchez.

The celebration of the team continues later through the streets of Madrid, aboard a convertible bus that will travel through the city center, from the Plaza de España, through Gran Vía, Calle Alcalá, Plaza de Cibeles and Paseo de Recoletos to finish in the Plaza de Colón. In a scenario located in that place, the players, the coach, Sergio Scariolo, and his coaching staff will address fans who are already going in large numbers to pay tribute to the world champions.
