The events took place around six o'clock in the morning. The young woman was partying with a friend with whom she had gone to several places. According to sources close to the case, she left the pub Charlye, located in Pineda de Mar, in the city and three unknown people have approached. They allegedly took her to the beach of Platja Gran, a few meters away, and allegedly sexually assaulted her, reports El Pais.
Shortly after 6.30 am, the Catalan police received a call informing them of the attack. Several patrols were moved to the site and, after hearing the French tourist, she was transferred by ambulance to Palamós Hospital.
For their part, the Mossos d'Esquadra Investigation Unit began looking for witnesses who might have seen something and analyzing the cameras that might be in the area to identify the alleged perpetrators.
