Previous Ferrari – Singapore: "This career in theory does not seem so good for us"

Marina Bay prepares to host the fifteenth test of the season, where Ferrari will try to find his third consecutive victory after the successes of Charles Leclerc in Spa and Monza. In the Italian team they are aware that this layout will not adapt as well to the SF90 as the previous two due to the high aerodynamic load configuration it demands. Even so, those of Maranello have prepared some updates with which they hope to stand up to Mercedes and try to retain Red Bull, which in Singapore should gain competitiveness, as happened last year, when Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen were far superior to the first man in red, that on that occasion was Sebastian Vettel.

Charles Leclerc (4th – 182 points):

"Singapore is perhaps the hardest track for us on a physical level because of the heat and humidity. It is always special to go there for the fact of being a night race. I really enjoy riding at night and, somehow, it seems that you are going faster than during the day It’s a unique weekend, so I’m looking forward to it. After two positive Grand Prix in Belgium and Italy, Singapore's career in theory does not seem so good for us because it is a different surface. It has many slow and few straight curves. It may be a more difficult weekend for the team, but we will do everything to have a good result. "

Sebastian Vettel (5th – 169 points):

"After Spa-Francorchamps and Monza, we travel to a very different circuit: Singapore, one of the ones I enjoy the most. It is an urban layout, with potholes and no room for mistakes; one of the few races in which it is rolled with artificial light. We compete with European time, which is something strange, because we leave the circuit when Singapore wakes up, with a time difference of six hours. We need the maximum possible aerodynamic load and we have the three softest tires in the range. We have seen before that everything can happen in this race, so it is difficult to predict the final result. Off the track, there will be a lot of pressure from the teams, since after this race comes Russia ".

"Coming from two consecutive victories is a good feeling for the team and for our typhosi, but in reality these triumphs we have already left behind, so we are aware that Singapore will present us with new challenges and a surface on which our car is not as strong as in other circuits. We are going to take some new pieces there as part of our effort to reduce the gap in a track that mainly has slow curves. This race also means the return of the hyperblading tire (C5), which has not been used since the Canadian Grand Prix.
