The Investigative Police (PDI) arrested a Chilean woman who was deported from Canada on Saturday after trying to enter that country with a passport “ideologically false"

Commissioner Harry Cerda, of the PDI Airport Secondary Inspection Department, explained that “when she arrived in Canada she was surprised with this document, being arrested and concretizing her deportation today”, According to BioBioChile.

The detainee, Marión Casanova, 32, came to the city of Toronto Canada, and then try to cross into the United States, where he recorded a crime for theft.

The "ideologically false" passport would be linked to the case of falsified passports in the Civil Registry, where there are currently 19 detainees, 8 of them public officials of the institution.

It is estimated that 34 false documents were issued, for which the Civil Registry employees involved obtained between 700 thousand and $ 1 million for each fraudulent proceeding.

The woman detained by the PDI will go to the second detention control and will be formalized for the crimes of falsification of a public instrument, bribery, bribery and violation of the computer law.
