The regular season debut of quarterback Nick Foles with the Jacksonville Jaguars lasted just two possessions.

Foles was injured after receiving a blow at the time of throwing a 35-yard touchdown pass to DJ Chark with 5:23 left in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The medical staff attended Foles, who quickly went to the dressing room and was ruled out for the rest of the game for a left shoulder injury.

At the end of the game, the Jaguars confirmed that Foles suffered a fractured left clavicle and will be out indefinitely.

"I knew just when I hit the ground that something was wrong, I felt it," Foles said after the game. "I will undergo surgery tomorrow, I trust the Lord and I am grateful to be part of this team."

The Jaguars signed Foles this offseason with a four-year contract and $ 88 million with a guaranteed 50.1 million.

The rookie recruited in the sixth round of the draft Gardner Minshew entered the place of Foles.

The Chiefs also suffered a scare in the first half when their quarterback Patrick Mahomes had to leave the field due to an apparent ankle injury.

However, Mahomes returned to the field on the next play after a bout broke out in the diagonals in which the Jaguars linebacker, Myles Jack, was ejected while Chiefs receiver Demarcus Robinson and runner Damien Williams were punished for unsportsmanlike conduct.
