The NFL spoke with Cleveland Browns star Odell Beckham Jr. about using a watch during Sunday's game.

The controversial open receiver wore an expensive watch – valued at more than $ 250,000 – during his debut with Cleveland, which fell by beating 43-13 against the Tennessee Titans.

Beckham, who arrived in Cleveland in March through an exchange with the New York Giants, caught seven passes for 71 yards in his first game with the Browns.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora said there are no rules that prohibit the use of jewelry. However, the league does have a policy that "prohibits hard objects." He said the league will address the issue with Beckham and the Browns, who face the New York Jets next Monday night.

"I didn't know I was wearing a watch," Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens said Monday. "As long as they enforce (the rules) with everyone, I'm fine with that. Let's just make sure everyone is enforced."

Beckham also arrived driving his custom Rolls Royce in orange to FirstEnergy Stadium.

Information from Jake Trotter and AP was used in the writing of this note.
