Regarding the students' response, Chaab highlighted the increased interest of Mendoza adolescents. “The culture of evaluation is being installed, there is no longer fear of rankings or impacts on the grade. They have understood that it is a way of democratic participation, they are part and they think with facts and not with words, ”he said.
He also added that this involvement of local youth also influenced due to the pilot test of the operation that took place in April in the province. On that occasion the young people were able to validate the instrument through criticism and contributions, where modifications were made that resulted in the final evaluation that was taken on Tuesday.
School climate
In addition to measuring knowledge in Language and Mathematics, Learning also evaluates the school climate through a questionnaire of associated factors, where young people can express their projections in the future, topics that they would like to deepen as well as aspects related to discrimination, bullying or grooming, among others.
In that sense, Chaab stressed that they are also consulted about Integral Sex Education (ESI), which issues they work on and which ones they would like to deepen or address.
He also emphasized academic self-concept as one of the keys to the development of an area. “It allows us to know qualitatively. It brings qualitative light to the quantitative results that the tests give you, allows us to contextualize the institutional reality of the children, ”said the education official.
