Although the two Samsung phones have exactly the same S Pne (same size and functions), the Galaxy Note 10 is more convenient.

Galaxy Note 10 5G?
Although Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 10 along with the Note 10 Plus and the Note 10 Plus 5G, the company will sell a Galaxy Note 10 5G version, although for the moment that cell phone will be available only in South Korea.
The Note 10 5G would remain very in line with the other phones and, unlike the Galaxy S10 5G that modified its specifications to offer more cameras, battery and screen, the Galaxy Note 10 5G would be identical to the Note 10.

Design: Compact and virtually single screen
The Galaxy Note 10 has exactly the same design as the Note 10 Plus. The only thing that changes between the two is that the Plus has an additional camera on the back (consisting of two sensors) and a microSD card slot that allows you to expand your storage.
This means that the Galaxy Note 10's screen has bezels even smaller than that of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus and its camera – which has also been integrated into the screen through a gap – is no longer located towards the upper right corner, but is located in the center of the upper part.
The small bezels of the Galaxy Note 10 screen and its front-facing camera.
Sarah Tew / CNET
This is very attractive, because it makes the cell phone more symmetrical and at least the little content that can be blocked is only in the center. Likewise, the status bar is generally divided into two (status codes and notifications), so it can also serve as a kind of division.
However, with this the company also removed the iris scanner and placed the headset that works as a secondary horn at the top edge, something that is different from what we have seen in other companies' phones. For example, with the LG G8 ThinQ the South Korean company removed the headset so that the screen works like a horn class, while with the OnePlus 7 Pro The Chinese company moved the headset right at the intersection of the top edge with the screen.
<p>Samsung's implementation could make the call experience different as well, since if you don't put the cell phone to hear a call right on the edge or above, the call quality should be reduced. I haven't tried it yet, but I think, given its design, that is a possibility.
Another change that many might not like is that Samsung moved the power button from the right side edge to the left side edge.
This means that if you had a Samsung cell phone or almost any cell phone you will have to get used to holding it differently or that you end up holding it more with your left hand – surely left-handed people may feel more comfortable, but they may also have a little getting used to.
The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus start button is now on the left side edge.
Sarah Tew / CNET
While now that right side edge is totally clean of buttons, on the left side edge you find not only that power button, but also the volume bar that is located a little higher.
The power button has many more functions than before, since if you press it once you can turn on the cell phone or turn the screen on and off. Also, if you keep it pressed you will activate Bixby.
This means that it will be necessary to learn to turn off the cell phone. By default you can turn off Note 10 through a shortcut in the quick settings panel or press and hold both the power button and the volume down button. With this, the screenshot is now taken in the same way as before.
On the other hand, on the bottom edge you find the USB-C port and the horn that is located in practically the same position.
The Galaxy Note 10 has no traditional headphone jack (3.5mm), which is unfortunate for many. Samsung includes a USB-C headset in the box, but not a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter that sells separately for $ 9.99.
On the top edge, you find the SIM card drawer, right next to where the headset or horn is.
The back of the Galaxy Note 10 is still glass (it has Gorilla Glass 6), just like the glass that protects your Dynamic AMOLED curve screen with the Infinity O design.
The fingerprint reader of the Galaxy Note 10 Plus is located on the screen, just like what we saw in the Galaxy S10 . The bad thing is that Samsung told CNET in Spanish that it is exactly the same as it is in the S10. That means that it is an ultrasonic fingerprint reader that fails to completely replace a traditional physical fingerprint reader.
The back of the phone maintains a slight curvature that allows the cell phone to feel good in the hand. The cell phone is still very symmetrical by integrating two pieces of curved glass (rear and front) that are subtly joined in a metal frame.
The back is available in the typical black and white colors, as is the new Aura Glow color that is a mirror-like silver (reminds me of the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium ), but that reflects the light in different colors and is sometimes really bright.
As you would expect, the rear cameras (three) closely resemble what we saw in the Huawei P30 Pro: a vertical module located towards the upper left corner. These three cameras are exactly the same main cameras that the Note 10 Plus has and the same that we see in the S10 and S10 Plus, with the exception that the telephoto now has a better aperture (f / 2.1 instead of f / 2.4) that It would allow to adapt better to low light situations.
The Galaxy Note 10 is waterproof with IP68 certification such as the Note 10 Plus, the S10 and its predecessors.
<h2> Performance: As good as you would imagine </h2><p>The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 offers great performance and fluidity. Open apps, navigate the interface and play video games are as good as you would expect in one of the best cell phones you can buy.
Even when you open recently used apps, you find them just as you left them. For some reason a couple of apps restart or restart your connection, but in general it offers an excellent experience in this section as well as when running split screen or multiple apps at the same time.
In our performance tests, the Galaxy Note 10 achieved very good results and despite having less RAM than the Galaxy Note 10 Plus in daily use, I don't think that a user is really going to notice an important difference. Even in these tests, the Galaxy Note 10 managed to offer better results in some aspects, especially in graphic processing.

Battery life: Reliable
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 phone has a 3,500mAh battery, which represents 500mAh less than the Galaxy Note 9, 800mAh more than the Galaxy Note 10 and 700mAh less than the Galaxy S10 Plus.
Although this difference sounds very important or different, in general use the Galaxy Note 10 has a battery almost as reliable as the others. Sure, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus offers more peace of mind, but it's not as much as you would imagine.
In our continuous video playback tests, the Note 10 achieved 18 hours and 15 minutes, while the Galaxy Note 10 achieved 21 hours, virtually the same as the Galaxy S10 Plus.
Something interesting is that depending on the headset adapter you use to listen to music or if you prefer to use the included USB-C headphones, the battery consumption can be increased significantly.
For example, in multiple tests, using the headphones included in the Galaxy Note 10 case, the cell phone generally lasted 18 hours, while using an adapter such as the Pixel 3 XL, the cell phone lasted about 14 hours in the same test .
Also, not all adapters work, since I tried to use one from Motorola and another from HTC that did not work and the cell phone showed a message that indicated that something connected to the USB-C port was not compatible.

Wireless charging and reversible wireless charging
The Galaxy Note 10 Plus can be charged wirelessly and can also charge other devices wirelessly as the Galaxy S10 did.
Load much faster
Samsung had been stuck in Quick Charge 2.0 in more than a couple of generations of its flagship phones by offering a fast charge of 15 watts (15W), while other manufacturers had already offered 40 or up to 50 watts.
The good news now is that the Galaxy Note 10 is compatible with 25-watt fast charging and that adapter is included with the phone. The Galaxy Note 10 Plus brings the same charger, but it also supports fast charging of 45 watts (45W).
The Galaxy S10 and Note 10 offered a fast charge of only 7.5 watts instead of 12 watts wirelessly and 15 watts instead of 25 watts.

</span></figcaption></figure><h2> Galaxy Note 10: Snapdragon 855 vs. Exynos 9825 </h2><p>The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is available with two different processors (depending on the market), one with Snapdragon 855 and one with the Exynos 9825 processor, which is new for Samsung's flagship phones.
Although there is a difference in performance between both processors, I do not consider the difference in daily use to be noticeable or force you to acquire one over the other, in case you have that option.
The small differences we have noticed between the Exynos 9825 processor and the Snapdragon 855 is that the Exynos achieves better results in single-core processing, but falls below the Snapdragon in graphic processing. In the processing of multiple cores they are generally very similar.

As for the battery life, the Snapdragon continues to offer a better life. However, in daily use that difference should not be very noticeable because in our tests it was not more than an hour, but the same is something to take into account. We will perform more tests over the next few weeks to determine if there are changes with the latest updates received on cell phones.
Cameras: The same excellent 3 main cameras of the Note 10 Plus
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a front camera of 10 megapixels and three rear of 12 megapixels, 16 megapixels and 12 megapixels. Although the Galaxy Note 10 does not have a fourth lens Flight Time (ToF) like the Note 10 Plus, which means that it cannot work as a 3D scanner, but contrary to what was initially thought it does allow you to record videos with AR Doodles (with 3D drawings).
Even if the Note 10 does not have that fourth lens, the cell phone has the ability to record the same kind of videos with a blurred background as the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, since the two currently use the three main lenses and not necessarily that ToF.
The three rear cameras (and the front) are exactly the same as the Galaxy Note 10 Plus and therefore are practically the same on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus, as are the three main cameras of the S10 5G.
This means that the Galaxy Note 10 has a regular camera, a wide angle and a telephoto. The only difference is that the telephoto now has a better opening (f / 2.1 vs. f / 2.4) that would allow better results in situations with poor lighting.
As for the quality of the cameras, the Galaxy Note 10 Plus does not disappoint and they are undoubtedly one of the best you can find in the market.
Not only the great versatility offered by its three cameras are good, but the results end with good detail, dynamic range and colors. However, sometimes it seems to me that the camera is not as fast to capture photos as the Pixel 3 XL.
The Galaxy Note 10 camera app.
Sarah Tew / CNET
</span></figcaption></figure><p>Something new and good is that now in portrait mode for photos with blurred background or dynamic focus you have the option of using two lenses, the main and the telephoto (the S10 allow this through an update). In this way, you have more space to capture the photo because whenever you activate that mode the visual field is closer.
Unlike the Galaxy S10 that had to wait for the night mode to arrive through an update, the Galaxy Note 10 already has it in mind. The night mode (which is also present in the front camera) is very similar to what these phones currently have, making the results better in low light situations, but still does not reach the same level or constancy offered by the Pixel 3 XL or the Huawei P30 Pro.
Despite this, there is no doubt that the Galaxy Note 10 Plus offers many more options to be creative than the Pixel 3 XL and it seems to me that its artificial intelligence offers more pleasant results than the Huawei P30 Pro. Where the P30 Pro wins is in its 5x optical zoom, since the Note 10 Plus offers only up to 2x optical zoom.
You can look at some of our photos below.
In video recording, Samsung also brings improvements to offer better colors, details and stabilization.
Something interesting is that having the Super Steady option disabled when you are going to record video, you cannot switch between the three rear cameras if you are recording at 60fps. When activated you can only record video with the main camera and the wide angle but not with the telephoto. To have access to all three cameras it is necessary to have the video recording set to only 30fps, be it Full HD, 4K or HD.
As for the front camera, the Galaxy Note 10 manages to take good photos and as a great novelty it also has night mode that allows to improve a pore of the photos in situations with poor lighting.
Video recording with blurred background
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 allows you to record video with a blurred background thanks to a function called Live Focus Video or Video with Dynamic Background.
These are not the first cell phones that offer this kind of video recording with blurred background. Others, including the LG G8 ThinQ, have offered this function and for the moment the accuracy has not been the best when the subject moves.
The Galaxy Note 10 brings improvements over the other cell phones mentioned, but when there is a lot of movement you can easily lose the edges of the person.
Something that I liked a lot is that Samsung offers four different recording effects, which allow us to be more creative and fun.
