"Our government is present with public policies to accompany the producers," said Governor Gustavo Bordet from Montreal (Canada) on Tuesday, where he is accompanying beekeepers in the 2019 edition of Apimondia, the top fair of that item in the world.Bordet valued the work that the province is doing in "everything that means logistical support and in order to achieve soft loans." "Especially in times when interest rates are unreachable"

Accompanied by the authorities of the Federation of Beekeeping Cooperatives of Entre Ríos (Fecaer), Governor Gustavo Bordet stressed the importance of supporting "entrerrianos producers in this fair that is so important for the development of a regional economy such as apiculture", and highlighted the "long tradition" of beekeeping in Entre Ríos, "which we seek to be projected for future growth for years to come," he added.

Bordet, together with the Argentine ambassador to Canada, Eugenio María Curia, the mayor of Macia, Román Troncoso and the deputy Ricardo Troncoso, visited our country's stand in Apimondia, and met with producers from our province and Buenos Aires. He also stressed that "Entre Ríos is the second Argentine honey producer."

Within that framework, the Entre Rican president ratified that "we seek to have the necessary support for this value chain that is very important not only for what it generates economically but also for what matters in the work that involves families, and the employment generated direct to this activity. "

"It is a duty from the State to support all value chains such as, in this case, beekeeping," said the president, along with Jorge Kloss, from Cabaña Apícola Reina Madre, and Horacio López, from Cooperativa Apícola Mieles de Maciá, and president of the Fecaer.

In that line, he highlighted the work of the province with the Federal Investment Council (IFC) to "be able to arrive with normal, reasonable rates to be able to have financing and also generate logistical support to be able to export and have an exportable offer that is what which allows us to enter genuine currencies to our province that promote development and generate employment

In addition, Bordet stressed that the IFC "is the one who precisely finances the possibility of being in this fair and others as well," and said that "credit lines" are being implemented through that agency.

"Entre Ríos has an export pre-financing line of credit, which is a credit that is granted in dollars before exporting and that is returned once it is charged in dollars, the same dollars are returned without any interest," he said. . "This is an important tool because it facilitates all the previous process and logistic to the export. We have already done it with several value chains and we are going to implement it for the apicultural chain," he added.

Finally, Bordet stressed that "Entre Ríos is coming to the Canadian market with the first shipments of poultry meat," and explained that "Entre Ríos exports poultry meat to about 60 countries in the world, but we were not in Canada, and now we have entered. "

In addition, "we are experimenting with blueberries, which is against the season and is a fruit that is consumed a lot here, and the Canadian market is also an opportunity," Bordet concluded.
