Neiron Ball, former Oakland Raiders player, died almost a year after suffering a brain aneurysm and being induced in an induced coma
"We are deeply sad to announce the death of Neiron Ball on September 10, 2019 at 4:15," he wrote Natalie Ball Myricks, sister of the athlete in a Facebook post.
Ball was diagnosed with a cerebral arteriovenous malformation, which is a condition that can cause the rupture of blood vessels in the brain.
The athlete was hospitalized in 2011 after collapsing during a practice, later he needed surgery to repair a brain hemorrhage.
In September 2018, the player had a cerebral aneurysm, from which he never recovered.
“Rest in peace, Neiron. You will always be remembered and missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in these difficult times, ”the Gators wrote on their Twitter account.
