The candidate for president for the Front of All, Alberto Fernández, greeted producers on Farmers' Day through social networks on Sunday with a conciliatory message, following the land reform proposal that the social leader launched last week Kirchnerist Juan Grabois.

"Today we commemorate Farmers Day in homage to the entrepreneurial spirit of Argentine producers," Fernandez tweeted, adding: "Together with the men and women of our field we are going to put Argentina back on its feet."

Farmers Day is commemorated by the founding in 1856 of the first agricultural colony, called Esperanza, in Santa Fe.

Last week, Grabois said he was going to propose the candidate of the Frente de Todos a reform to "expropriate 50,000 plots" and that "no one has more than 5,000 hectares".

After the controversy that his statements unleashed and the rejection that he generated in the rural leaders in particular, Grabois clarified that his initiative did not represent the Front of All.

While the skirmish broke out by the statements of the Kirchner social leader, and close friend of Pope Francis, Fernandez averaged his tour of Madrid, where he returns tonight.

A few weeks ago, Fernandez had met with the Liaison Bureau, who had been asked to forget the 2008 conflict over mobile withholdings.
