Hurricane Dorian does not cease its activity in North America and finally it has arrived tonight at Nova Scotia (Canada). A historical fact because it is difficult to see this type of phenomena in latitudes so far north. The passage of the cyclone through this Canadian point has caused many problems, while the strongest hurricane registered in this country was in 1963 the Ginny, category 2.

Shortly before touching earth, the hurricane was category 2, but it quickly went down to 1 and once it entered Nova Scotia it became a tropical cyclone. Despite the drop in its strength, its degree of danger is still high and the impact on the capital of Nova Scotia, Halifax, was overwhelming with strong winds of around 150 km / h and downpours that have caused the falling trees, many power outages and the spectacular crash of a construction crane which, fortunately, has not caused victims. Alert in Canada by the Dorian

Since the weather forecasts began to indicate days ago that Dorian would end up impacting Canada, the country was immediately on alert and the Canadian government has sent several military personnel to help with recovery after the storm passed. Also, local authorities They asked for the evacuation of the coastal areas, while, at the moment, some 300,000 homes are without electricity.

After passing through Nova Scotia, Dorian has already become a tropical cyclone and continues to plague areas of eastern Canada, with the anticipation that, over the next week, the storm will turn offshore into a common depression and the remains will arrive in Europe within a few days.

This hurricane has been the strongest in touching land registered in the Atlantic, specifically in the Bahamas, where the impact of Dorian with category 5 (the maximum possible) left winds of more than 350 km / h, large tides and downpours of up to 400 l / m². The result has been a stamp of total destruction on the Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands, where there are at least 43 dead and, according to the United Nations, some 70,000 people need immediate help. Don't miss the most shocking images of Dorian's destructive passage through the Bahamas.
